ChinaPro was founded by Martin Easdale in 2003,
a metallurgist with over 20 years manufacturing experience with UK engineering companies.
Company History
Martin has been dealing with China since 1997. He has also spent 4 years living in China setting up a new production facility for Pentair Group an American Fortune 500 multinational company.
With a wealth of local contacts and first hand knowledge of well equipped Chinese companies, Martin realised that many European companies could benefit from the quality products and lower cost base that these companies provided.
Before leaving China, Martin put in place a team of experienced Chinese nationals based in Qingdao to staff the local arm of ChinaPro. These highly skilled engineers, project managers and inspectors had themselves many years experience working with Chinese manufacturing companies.
As the largest container port in China with good transport infrastructure, Qingdao is ideally placed to export to Europe.
Utilising his background in metallurgy Martin gained contracts from companies operating in the display and agricultural equipment markets. Tim Rutherford joined ChinaPro in 2004 to head up the Sales and Marketing function. With an engineering background, Tim focussed on companies who required engineered products.
In its first year of Trading, ChinaPro produced a turnover of £350k and staff numbers grew to 14 based in China. Over the years more and more European companies have benefitted from ChinaPro's expertise and staff numbers have since grown to 24 in China.
ChinaPro has clients operating in a wide range of markets from Industrial Security, Display Products, Automotive, Agricultural and Horticultural Equipment markets to Conveyor Belting and Hydraulic Cylinders.
More recently, ChinaPro have been
working with UK companies to introduce their products to
the Chinese market.
